Virtual Talk/Presentation - Understanding the Business of Writing & Publishing

On Wednesday January 17, 2018 I will be leading a virtual talk/presentation called Understanding the Business of Writing & Publishing.

The virtual talk, which is free to Canadian Authors Association members (or costs $10 for non-members to attend), is being hosted by the Waterloo-Wellington Branch. (Now local to me since my January move to Waterloo from Hamilton)

The description for the 1.5 hour workshop is below, as is the registration link.

There has never been a better time to be a writer. And whether a person writes fiction or non-fiction, there have never been more opportunities or options for writers in the history of publishing. Join Mark Leslie Lefebvre as he walks through the multitude of options that writers have of getting their work out into the world, outlining the pros and cons of the various choices and strategies for  making the decision that best suits your own goals and desires in the area of writing and publishing.

Bringing more than 25 years of bookselling and publishing experience with him, Lefebvre, who is a former board member of BookNet Canada, former president of the Canadian Booksellers Association, and former Director of Self-Publishing and Author Relations at Kobo where he built Kobo Writing Life (www.kobowritinglife.com / www.kobo.com/writinglife), will outline the basics, walk through the options and provide a solid perspective about the business of writing and publishing.

Please send fees to http://PayPal.Me/LisaPara - the registration fee for non-members is $10.
