In The Mindset of The Groundhog King

This post is in honour of Mathew Horbaty Growden, my work chum who is responsible for my haunting the blogosphere. He's the one who urged me into blogging and often posts about the cool new gadgets he aquires on his own blog.

I recently bought a SanDisk Sansa m250 2 Gig mp3 player. And of course, I'm torn on what to listen to, because there's so much great stuff that I can take with me where ever I go.

I've ripped several of my favourite CD's to it as well as several of my favourite podcasts (like The Writing Show, The Survival Guide To Writing Fantasy and I Should Be Writing) and also chapters from some great podiobooks that I've been listening to. I've been on a bit of an audio-book/podcast listening phase lately, and will likely be taking advantage of my libraries offering of free digital audio book downloads to listen to books while walking between the GO station and work. (Gotta squeeze in as much audio-reading as possible -- so much great listening, so little time)

And I've got my own podcast efforts in the works right now. More to come on that soon -- I'll likely beg any of my blog readers for their feedback on a few "test podcasts" within the next week or so.

I'll test your podcast ... if you blog about exactly how you create it. Such a deal!

Here by way of Robin of the Funky Bugs...nice that you have a new MP3 player, but why would anyone buy anything but an actual iPod? [scratching head]

That said, the podcasts you mention sound interesting so might just download a few to my IPOD. ;)

Lime - you'll see me having so much fun you'll be next in line do to the same. ;)

Georganna - I'm already taking notes on the practice work I've been doing, and I'll slap up a blow by blow on how I stumbled through the process. I promise. :)

Panthergirl -- (always glad to meet one of Robin's friends) I went iPod-less for a few reasons - more Gigs for less $$, ease of compatibility (regular batteries, etc), and I wanted a portable FM radio player -- you know, for that next big summer blackout. :)

So happy to see someone else has avoided the draw of the IPOD. I too am a SanDisk owner.
